Celebrating the African Diaspora – February 26, Hawthorne

Join us on Sunday, February 26 at Olivet Lutheran in Hawthorne for a Black History Celebration sharing the African-American experience through different eras, ranging from slavery to modern times.  This gathering of our churches will feature African drum and dance, a Mass Spiritual and Gospel Choir, a Biblical Narrative presentation and music from the Jazz Age to Hip-Hop to Modern Pop and Soul, as well as a fellowship potluck.

There is no charge for this event – a free-will offering will be taken to help African Descent High-School Youth attend the Western States Youth Gathering at California Lutheran University (CLU).
