2010 Synod Assembly Resolutions Referred to Synod Council:

· 10-06:   Relating To Termination of Defined Benefit Pension Plan by Augsburg Fortress, Publisher (Action Taken: Postponed definitely until after current litigation is brought to a resolution.)

· 10-08:   “Green” Theme of Environmental Stewardship (Action Taken: 1st Resolved referred to Synod Assembly Planning Committee. 2nd Resolved ruled “Out of Order” as ELCA has already taken steps to make Churchwide Assemblies “green”.)

· 10-09:   Close SOA/WHINSEC and Annul Agreement to Establish US Military Bases in Colombia (Action Taken: Objected to consideration.)

· 10-11:   To Divest, Boycott and Sanction Israel until It Complies With International Law and Universal Principles of Human Rights (Action Taken: The Assembly voted to refer Resolution 10 - 11 to the Synod Council with the instruction that the Council form a Committee made up of persons from the Justice Team and those who have spoken in opposition to Resolution 10 – 11 to form a possible joint statement for action by the Assembly.
