Please Note! The 1st Ballot in the Election of the Bishop will take place during  Business Session 2 after dinner on Thursday, May 30. Only those voting members in attendance who have registered before the business session and the production of a credentials report will be eligible to cast a ballot. Please refer to the Message from the 2019 Bishop’s Election Committee if you have questions about the election process.

Congregational Care of Older Adults: As congregations grow “grayer” along with the rest of America, they often turn towards attracting younger members while missing the rich opportunities to serve the older adults in their midst. In this session, we’ll talk about the (1) lead congregations can take in embracing rather than stigmatizing older adulthood and (2) building blocks to develop an older adult ministry that serves your members and reaches those in need outside your walls.

Offering an Adult Day Program in a Congregational Setting – The Basics: Older adult ministries can take many forms – such as an adult day program that keeps frail older adults – from your congregation and the greater community – socially connected and engaged while providing caregivers with needed respite and giving your active seniors an opportunity to serve others. In this session you’ll learn what’s involved in developing and sustaining an adult day program.

    I would like more information about the assembly. I do not know where the meetings are being held at the university, we have not received any information about the meetings, or a map of the campus. The map on the web site is useless. Where is the information about the candidates for bishop? I am registered but have nothing.
