Administrative Assistant – Trinity, San Gabriel

20 hours a week, preferably 4 hours a day, Monday-Friday, but this is negotiable  Starting wage $15/hr. with 6-month review and possible raise. Paid sick time and Holidays 

The person who fills this position will have excellent people skills and computer skills in Windows, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher, Word, and Excel, as week as Social Media. They will be a self-starter who is very organized and work independently. Prefer some knowledge of Church, worship, and church activities 

 Job includes but is not limited to: 

  • Producing 16-20-page worship bulletin every week, with more bulletins during Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Easter; formatted in Publisher 
  • Interacting with visitors (primarily Church members) and help them if you have the resources to do so 
  • Handle all phone communications, deal with voice mail daily, responding as able, researching to find what they need, and or communicated the information to the Pastor or appropriate Council member  
  • Handle all email, passing on information as needed 
  • Interacting with Pastor, President, Treasurer, and Bookkeeper to take care of the business of the congregation 
  • Daily dealing with incoming invoices, including documenting, filing, sending bills to bookkeeper, and once the signed checks are available sending payment out, likely dropping them at post office 
  • Work with various organizations of the congregation to produce publicity and other things they need 
  • Properly filing all documents  
  • Archiving older documents by scanning old records and disposing of things we no longer need to have in paper form 
  • Responsible for maintaining church Master Calendar
