Preschool Director – Mt. Cross, Camarillo

Located in Camarillo, California, Mount Cross Child Development Center, affectionately known as the “little school on the hill” is seeking applicants for our Preschool Director position. Our ideal candidate has a vibrant Christian faith; a heart for developmentally appropriate early childhood education; and management experience for overseeing staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Demonstrate Christian commitment and familiarity with the Lutheran tradition
Bachelor’s degree in one of the professional fields relating to early childhood education
Certified to teach in California
Proficient in basic business software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.)
Capable of running CDC social media accounts (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Prior experience as a Preschool Director or Assistant Preschool Director (preferred)
First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred)
Belong to and participate in related professional organizations (preferred)
Strong leadership and administrative skills for overseeing staff

Job Responsibilities:
Execute School Policies and Programs & Communicate the Vision of the School through the following:
Function as primary contact person for parents/guardians on enrollment, integration, progress, and all other matters pertaining to the preschool programs
Supervise lesson planning and curriculum development with teachers
Develop policies and procedures that meet state requirements and ensure
implementation amongst staff
Responsible for updating CDC social media websites on a regular basis

In relation to Staff and Faculty:
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and supervising preschool teachers, aids, and substitutes
Act as a “floating” teacher (i.e. extra teacher) during the day and help in the different classrooms, as needed
Manage and prepare annual budgets with the Treasurer

Salary Info:
Full-time Position – Pay from $54,080 (depending on experience)
