Juneteenth Synod-Wide Service – Saturday June 19, 2021 at 8:00 a.m.

Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of legalized slavery in the United States. Although Abraham Lincoln gave the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, the beginning of the end of legal enslavement would not be recognized until June 19, 1865.
