Assembly 2026: Dates Set and Call for Resolutions Now Open

Plans are underway for the 2026 Southwest California Synod Assembly, and several key details are now available for congregations, leaders, and voting members.

The Assembly will take place Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, 2026. The theme for the gathering will be “God Is Our Refuge & Strength,” grounding the work of the assembly in prayer, discernment, and shared commitment.

As part of this preparation, the synod has opened the Call for 2026 Resolutions. Resolutions must be submitted by Monday, March 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Submissions should be sent to both:

  • admin@socalsynod.org

  • deborah95@me.com

Resolutions should be provided in PDF format and as an electronic copy.

Location and accommodation details for the 2026 Assembly will be announced in January 2026. Weekly updates will continue through the synod newsletter and website to ensure congregations and voting members have the information they need as plans develop.

Congregations and ministry leaders are encouraged to mark these dates now and begin their resolution discernment process early.
