Black History Month Worship Series: “Where Dreams Take Flight”
The ADLA Los Angeles Chapter invites the wider church to join in a Black History Month worship series at California Lutheran University, celebrating Black history, faith, and leadership under the theme “Where Dreams Take Flight.”
Services will be held at Samuelson Chapel, located at 165 Chapel Lane, Thousand Oaks, CA, beginning at 11:00 a.m.on the following dates:
February 5 — Rev. Scott Adams, Professor at California Lutheran University and Lead Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Inglewood
February 12 — Rev. Dr. Donald R. Cook, II, Interim Pastor, First Lutheran Church of Carson
February 19 — Rev. Kenneth Davis, Pastor, Bethel Lutheran Church, Encino, and Interim Pastor, Olivet Lutheran Church, Hawthorne
These gatherings offer an opportunity for worship, reflection, and celebration of Black leadership within the Lutheran tradition. All are welcome to attend and participate.
