Emmanuel, North Hollywood Neighborhood Clean-up

On Saturday, April 29, Emmanuel Lutheran Church in North Hollywood hosted a neighborhood cleanup. The city provided shovels, rakes and other tools as well as garbage bags and picked up the trailer full of trash collected in a 1.5 mile radius around the church and ELC’s school, Laurel Hall. 42 people participated and a Thrivent Action Team Grant provided lunch, snacks and plenty of water for the thirsty crew!

This project by Emmanuel, North Hollywood is an example of what a Thrivent Action Team can do! Thrivent Action Teams start with an idea powered by your passion. You can apply to lead a volunteer team in a one-time fundraiser, service activity or educational event. Thrivent Action Kits include T-shirts and a $250 Community Impact Card that can be used as seed money to purchase project supplies and create promotional materials.
