SWCA Synod Worship Services

Welcome to worship in the chapel of the Lutheran Center in Glendale. We find ourselves in a remarkable situation, in which the danger of contagion with the novel coronavirus has required the cancellation of of worship in our ELCA churches in the Southwest California Synod. As your bishop, I want you to have every opportunity to join with others in prayer, song, and thanksgiving, to God’s protection in this time. You can watch with your spouse or family, or entirely by yourself. The bulletin and hymns are linked below for download or print out, and you can follow the hymns if you have the ELW “cranberry” hymnal – but the service is easy to follow.

You may be by yourself, but when you pray with us, you are joining the whole church in our synod, our nation and throughout the world.
