Worship in the Home (ELCA Worship Blog)

In this time of world-wide crisis, congregations throughout this church are not able to gather for worship as the body of Christ. While you cannot be together in person, you can hear the word of God and hold each other in prayer. We offer this brief resource as an aid for prayer in the home. As with intercessory prayer in the assembly’s worship, you are encouraged to adapt these prayers for your local context. If you know someone who doesn't have a computer and/or prefers to do worship at home without watching a video or livestream, please print out these prayers for them.

    Dear Ms. Henderson,

I am a member of St. Cross Episcopal Church in Hermosa Beach. Every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. we have a service online. The link below will take you to the service.

Btw, I attended Trinity Lutheran in Manhattan Beach for a number of years before becoming a parishioner at St. Cross. I have a dear friend who is an ELCA Lutheran, and she’s been forwarding me material from the Southwest California Synod. So I am regularly in touch with the solace and wise counsel that Bishop Erwin is offering at this difficult time.

  3. Sharon Richter says

Trinity Pasadena doesn’t livestream because our Internet is balky. But we film both a Sunday service and a Wednesday prayer service and post links to the Youtube video of each on our Facebook page, at
